Ruby Ziru Ding currently serves as a Board Member (2025-26), following her term as Assistant Director of the Cognitive Science for Humanity Circle (2024-25), on the student board of the STEM for Humanity Coalition.
Born in China and now a high school student in California, Ruby has a deep interest in STEM, particularly in cognitive science. Inspired by reading the book “The Left Hand of Genius, The Right Hand of Madness,” she has since explored numerous books on cognitive science and focused on raising mental health awareness in communities. She has volunteered in psychiatric hospitals in China to provide support to patients, and worked closely with elderly individuals with disabilities. In her free time, Ruby enjoys playing both the piano and the ruan, a traditional Chinese string instrument, as well as practicing traditional Chinese dance. She also plays badminton, tennis, and table tennis.
