
Zupukaer Yashengjiang currently serves as Collegiate Vice President (2025-26), following his term as Secretary (2024-25), on the student board of the STEM for Humanity Coalition.
Zupukaer is currently a freshman studying mechanical engineering at Santa Clara University in the Silicon Valley of California, USA.
Zupukaer is deeply passionate about STEM, with a particular focus on physics and mechanical engineering. Having lived in three countries before moving to Southern California, Zupukaer speaks four languages, which has given him a global perspective on STEM and its impacts on humanity. After witnessing both the positive and negative effects of technology, Zupukaer is committed to applying STEM to promote social good and foster connections across different cultures. He participated in Model UN debates in Turkey, where he advocated for gender equality in STEM employment and wages. He also competed in various STEM competitions. Outside of his academics, Zupukaer enjoys a variety of hobbies, including cooking, conducting science experiments, playing the guitar, snow skiing, swimming, basketball, and horseback riding.
